Jazz Faced Her Demons And Lays Bare Her Soul

Here To Stay E.P.

Jazz Urell

Fans of Jazz Urell have never doubted her talent or ability to write and perform, but Jazz lacked the confidence to believe in herself. Happily Jazz has finally overcome the breakdown of a personal relationship and battled her mental health demons to emerge on the other side with a new found confidence and a cracking E.P.

‘Here To Stay’ is Jazz laid bare, exposing herself in the only way she knows how, opening old wounds and reliving her long and difficult journey to finally arrive in a good place. The 4 track release is a shining example of Jazz’s glorious songs and allows her the opportunity to impress with her vocal range; her voice is pure and crystal clear with lyrics that cut to the listener’s core. Although the tracks are very personal to Jazz she is happy for fans to interpret them in their own ways, many will have experienced similar traumas and identify with the hurt contained in each track; those who haven’t faced demons can just sit back and let the songs wash over them.

Jazz has found her confidence and her place on the Cornish music scene and is justifiably proud of her first born E.P. fans have been waiting and begging for this release, but Jazz is absolutely justified in holding back until the demons had been laid to rest. Local boys, The Velvet Hands, recently boosted Jazz’s morale by inviting her to join them on BVs on both versions of ‘Back On A Winner’ – a seemingly strange mix, but it works brilliantly.

‘Here To Stay’ was written and composed by Jazz Urell, recorded by Chris Morris (Paper Lace) at his Ocean Studios in Bodmin and mixed and mastered by Jazz, Chris and Jamie Rotherham (Kernuyck).

The video for the title track ‘Here To Stay’ was filmed in Luxulyan Valley by Chris Lane. Watch the video here:
